I would like to share with you my personal story of how I became a part of Ascentient and why I am proud to work for this company.
When I was interviewing with Evelyn and Kevin back in fall of 2021, I told them I was moving home from Colorado to Illinois because my Grandpa was not doing well and I needed to be with him. They were very understanding and supportive of my situation. My role was a hybrid schedule that would allow me to work from home when necessary. I had never worked remotely before, but I appreciated the flexibility and the trust they had in me.
I moved home in December 2021 and sadly, my Grandpa passed away at the end of February 2022. I informed Kevin, my manager, of the details and requested some time off to grieve. He even surprised me by showing up at the funeral home to pay his respects and offer his condolences. I was touched by his gesture and felt that he genuinely cared about me as a person, not just as an employee.
That was when I knew I had found the right company to work for. A company that values family and puts people first. A company that works hard but also understands that life happens and sometimes we need a break. A company that I am proud to call Ascentient.
